An 8% improvement despite limited funding.
From 2005 to 2009, RI has been able to achieve an 8% improvement in overall bridge conditions. Programs in many other states have been stagnant or have experienced substantial declines.

Getting more out of the stimulus.
By coming in nearly 10% under budget, RIDOT has used its $137M in ARRA funds to great effect. The remainder, with approval of the Federal government, was applied to additional projects across Rhode Island.

Over the past decade, there have been signs of real progress across Rhode Island. Voter approval of previous bond issues has made it feasible to undertake major projects, such as the ones shown and listed below.
